The Day Free Speech Died ...

Sifting through towers of rubble, panning for an endangered species

The day free speech died
The money burned
A thousand lost souls
The tide has turned
Fear not freedom rules

It's hard see over walls
When you are trodden so low
How far will they fall?
When do we get our go?

And four score and five
Before Grandpa left us
They battled and beat the sin
They now commit against us

The wars go on
The games they play
What's the bottom line
At the end of the day?

Watch what you say
And careful what you do
But always remember
They can only after-effect you

In a deep dark hole
For ever and a day
The one thing they can
Never take away

Is the feeling
The spark where from
The thought that drove
The voice of freedom

Beings so strong
Are rare indeed
There's only 6 billion of them
So stand yourself in good stead

Corporate Capital Criminal
Guilty in whose eyes
Alone in the dark at the rise of the moon
A mother kneels and cries
The day free speech died
